Yatagarasu

Named of the three-legged crow, representative (contrary to expectations) of the sun, Yatagarasu.

Born to the obstinate Veil and the jagged hulk Javus, Yatagarasu came into this world an aberration, with soft feathers instead of rigid scales. His deformities singled him out as a weakness to his former clan, and was swiftly discarded under the pretense of a trade pact and goodwill gift to the clan of Phoenix. Unfamiliar to the land of the clan and surrounded by strangers, Yatagarasu became reclusive, preferring to hide from the new family he had been forced upon. Cast out from his birthhome unknowingly to the realm of his birthgod's enemy, Yatagarasu felt no sense of belonging until he was approached by Ra. Ra saw a potential in him few in the clan could recognize, and no matter his attempts he could not hide from the impossibly-moving Ra, so under her he began to take only partially willing apprenticeship. In their time together as master and student, Yatagarasu became enlightened to many of Ra's secrets, and was eventually blessed with true understanding of them and charge to guard said understanding. As Ra's main apprentice, he often acts as her emissary, acting as her voice in situations unsuited for her scale. The night sky that hides the sun's secrets, Yatagarasu is one of the foremost authorities on enchanting, after Ra herself.
