Anubis

The Oddity of The Sanction, Anubis.

Out of the many dragons in the The Sanction Anubis was one of the few who was rescued by Kaitaka. She found this young dragon while raiding another clan for their materials. His many eyes frightened others which lead him to be cast aside for a lesser job than defending his previous clan. He was forced to embalm the bodies of dead dragons in his previous clan. To them it seemed fitting for a misfit to handle the bodies riddled with disease, in hopes maybe he'd catch one and perish. Fortunate for him he was rescued by Kaitaka when he had finally caught a disease which would have paralyzed his body as it rotted from the inside out. She had taken him back to the Sanction and saved his life in exchange for his loyalty. He had become like a son to Kaitaka who cared for him as he grew and taught him to use his multiple eyes as an advantage rather than an oddity.

Decades later he would face the true bottled wrath of Kaitaka's real son who grew to hate both him and Kaitaka. Whether Anubis lived to regret his ways is unknown.
