Pestilence

A Remembrance to my time in Plague Flight- 5/5/2017 to 10/6/2021

I loved being in Plague and spent quite some time here. Despite the rough environment and often gory or disliked theme, I loved it. While here, my clan began as a roving Arcane clan that was called by the PlagueBringer and created a gruesome workshop for experiments, consisting of many subspecies- as I loved the lore and ideas behind them. From there, it expanded into an SCP1762 inspired place, with a magical and otherworldly leader, and what almost seemed like pocket dimensions that were like little slices of each flight, a safehaven for subspecies. From there, it furthered to a Necropolis, full of spirits, old dragons, and a bridge between the waking and dying world. Below is as far as I got in typing out the Necropolis setting before I felt the call to another flight.

The Necropolis

Wandering the Scarred Wastelands, the cave suddenly appeared, the entrance an ominous maw. Any dragon could have missed it had they walked over it in the Tangled Wood, right across the border of the two flights' territories. Dark woods shrouded the area behind, shadows cast around while the red diseased ground of the Plague-lands roiled. It was one of three choices, return to the unforgiving Wasteland, brave the mysterious Woods, or enter the cave.

You entered the cave and... it was foreboding..

The central island-type area was surrounded by a reflective river that babbled quietly in the darkness, mirroring back small specks of light from the few florescent plants clinging to the cave ceiling. Backed by an outcropping of rock, there was a slightly glowing circular rune, with a neighboring outcropping of smaller stalagmites surrounding a set of carved stone boxes. A few crevices were visible stuffed with odds and ends, and further back behind the central island there were many gravestones, lights twinkling on each as magical crystals grew upwards.

The interior of the cave was much bigger than first expected from the outside, and surged with a strange magic. As you walked forward, you noticed a massive Imperial, nearly mistakable for a shadow, that dwarfed even the Banescale breeds, asleep amidst the center island rocks. He woke with a rumbling breath while you stood frozen, unfurling and growing even larger than when laying. His bright pink eyes fell
