SUNDAY: Do you have a dragon in your clan that is an adventurer? Perhaps a dragon that is fearless and curious? If you have a dragon that would make an awesome cryptid hunter, tell us all about them!

My custom progenitor and clan leader Oado travels frequently and makes notes and maps of all his adventures. He's fascinated by all the stories of those who join the group and frequently travels to some of the places he hears about, often bringing home trinkets and sometimes new familiars. With his skill at healing and magic and his wise and seeking nature, he'd have the potential to help and befriend any cryptids he comes across in his travels and possibly bring them home, and he'd be a great addition to any search parties and research expeditions.

MONDAY: Never underestimate the power of a good cook. Whether it's providing nourishment for your hunters or cooking up some tasty cryptid bait, dragons that cook have an important role. Tell us all about your cooks, chefs, bakers, and culinary artists. Don't have any dragons that cook? Tell us about how your clan provides food for it's members.

I haven't developed his lore yet, but Morningdove is a main figure in the domestic sphere of the clan. His mate, Vargoth is the clan's general - forceful and battle-ready, but far more measured and organized than her wild mother Xehnon and heir Xyvn - so Morningdove is the unassuming, gentle half of their pair. Along with Oado's mate Faelin, the clan is lucky to have a tundra team to care for and nurture the clan, keeping track of mundane things such as lair maintenance and making sure there's always food stored. Morningdove will love all the smells of cooking when I finally get around to fleshing out his character, and it's going to be way better for everyone than "look what the mirrors dragged in today".

TUESDAY: Archiving and recording knowledge is important for future generations. How does your clan pass along information, history and legends? Tell us about your archivists, record keepers, storytellers, and writers.

Irubo is the scholarly keeper of clan information and traditions. Though interested primarily in clan rituals and festivities, he is currently the group's only archivist, also recording births, deaths, adventures, exaltations, and the like. He's spent so much time with his inkwell that he's developing some permanent stains!

WEDNESDAY: Dragons that are able to acquire hard to find items can be an invaluable asset within a clan. Do you have any dragons that are good at obtaining or finding rare items? Whether it's through expertise and knowledge of where things are located or dragons that are just particularly persuasive - which of your dragons is the go-to dragon when your clan needs something a little special?

37648835_350.png
I only write clan lore in fits of inspiration based on individual dragon personalities and have a lot of logistics to figure out, and one of those would be the clan's approach to trade. It'd be cool if Lestat was a trader or smuggler of sorts - it would explain the gaudy accent I've got on him and why he only hooks up with Xehnon intermittently. I want to have a merchant dragon in the lot and I want poor Irubo to stop having to be in charge of everything responsible, and when I eventually figure out this part of the clan lore I think Lestat's going to be an easy choice. I always hold off on writing about lore that I don't have nailed down yet, but I think this is a really cool idea for my first pearlcatcher lore and I'm too tired to care that it's incomplete.

THURSDAY: Having the appropriate apparel for the environment is important while adventuring. Protecting dragons from extreme weather can be the difference between life and death. Do you have dragons that make apparel or accessories for your clan? Maybe your clan uses what is readily available in their environment. Tell us about about how your clan handles clothing issues. If they don't wear clothing or apparel, tell us how your clan deals with the elements.

37566812_350.png
I haven't really fallen in love with a lot of the more human-style apparel yet, but that's probably mostly a lack of exposure (and treasure!). Maeya, a coatl born without color, cast out and shunned as a result, is still getting set up as a clan tailor. Though of course being excluded was difficult at first, she's developed an interest in fashion as a mode of self-expression. Black and white go with everything, so she can hypothetically wear anything, though she's tending towards more muted, dapper styles right now. Not everyone is on board with unnecessary clothing, especially the clan's warriors whose apparel must be streamlined for battle safety, but as she increases the variety of her offerings Maeya's sure to find several converts customers in the clan, especially when she figures out raincoats, as most dragons are kept cooped up in their lairs during inclement weather.

FRIDAY: Being able to protect yourself can make a huge difference when trekking through unknown territory. How does your clan obtain weapons and armor? Do you have a blacksmith? Someone who is skilled at making other types of weaponry? Perhaps your clan doesn't rely on weapons. Maybe a bit of magic is involved? Tell us how your clan protects itself.

37281162_350.png
The clan's fiercest protector is Xehnon, warrior matriarch. Swift and brutal, she eliminates most lone threats to the clan, though more with brute force than the planning her daughter Vargoth, firstborn of Vargoth's sole clutch with the other clan progenitor and the clan's general, would prefer. With the addition of grandson Xyvn's eldest and youngest lore children, [Unnamed] and Ukha, these four generations of warriors are all the clan needs so far, fighting with tooth and claw and backed up with Oado's support magic, keeping the clan safe.

SATURDAY: When navigating through new territories, it helps to have dragons that are particularly friendly or diplomatic. Do you have any flight ambassadors or dragons that are in charge of making friends with new clans? Perhaps you have a clan member that is really charismatic and good at meeting new dragons. Tell us all about the dragons you'd choose to represent your clan.

35605915_350.png
Faelin, Oado's mate, generally remains with the clan as the leader of all things domestic while the fae is off exploring, but she's the main point of contact whenever there's a diplomatic mission. Sweet-natured and incredibly welcoming, she's always able to find a connection with someone new. With Irubo to deal with the formalities and record-keeping and Oado in his general role as the dragon with the vision, they're an ideal team to forge new partnerships.

"And I won't be far from where you are if ever you should call"
"I don't know what I've done, or if I like what I've begun"
"So pick me up, twist me round and throw me all the way back down"
"We'll take this road until we're back at the start yet again"
"And we'll pretend that feeling rage is feeling real"
"See the lights above you glowing, and breathe them deep into your lungs"
"But the search ends here
Where the night is totally clear
And your heart is fierce"
"So grow tall sugarcane
Eat that soil, drink the rain"
"She's a danger you're addicted to"
"I wanna dance the tango with chance"
"So goodbye for a while - I'm off to explore every boundary and every door"
"So goodbye for a while - I'm out to learn more about who I really was before"
