B I O G R A P H Y

Born and raised in a clan deep within the Fortress of Ends of the Southern Icefield, Noctis feels right at home within the frigid temperatures. He was born to a Guardian and a Ridgeback, yet he emerged from the egg as a Coatl with eyes never before seen, causing wide-scale confusion and concern within the clan. Over time, the confusion dissipated among most of his clanmates, and his unusual circumstances have since been accepted. Despite this, though, there are some who aren't as accepting, giving Noctis concerned glances and muttering their thoughts underneath their breath. Regardless, he continues to call this clan his home, with no intention of leaving any time soon.

Due to being born a Coatl to a Guardian and Ridgeback, his control over his natural abilities was nearly nonexistent. As he grew older, his abilities began spiraling out of control at a startling rate, being an Ice dragon born to an Arcane and Nature dragon didn't do much to help. As a result, Noctis sought out the clan's Shadow Flight representative and strongest Coatl, Shadowstrike, to seek help. Though while Shadowstrike was a Shadow dragon and would much rather practice his "conjurings", he was willing to become the young Coatl's mentor to help him better control his abilities. As a result, Noctis grew to view him as something of a father figure, and would at times assist him gathering herbs in return for his kindness.

As time went on, he eventually grew to master his abilities and was at last able to rest easy. Noctis began spending more time with his parents to make up for how long he spent training under his mentor, and their relationship grew. Before long, he eventually met a female Fae by the name of Azura. They quickly grew close, both enjoying the company of the other, and it wasn't long before they became mates. It's rare to see him without Azura by his side, often venturing out on clear nights to fly among the stars and enjoying the taste of the frigid, evening air. Azura eventually gave him the nickname "Noct," and is the only one to refer to him in this way as it's something special to the both of them, a representation of their bond.

_PERSONALITY_

____To those unfamiliar with him, Noctis may appear to be mysterious or even solitary. While it may be true to some extent, in reality he's exceptionally friendly. He's more than willing to help others if they come to him, whether it be for advice or any other issue. This is mostly due to Shadowstrike providing him with much needed help in the past, and Noctis is more than willing to spread the kindness to others. This sometimes comes as a surprise to some, though Noctis insists that it simply comes naturally to him.

____Unlike most of his clanmates, Noctis is mostly active at night. Sometimes considered to be semi-nocturnal, he often spends the daylight hours within the darkest parts of the lair. He doesn't mind this, though, as he enjoys the feeling of flying through the night sky. Noctis is a bit of a collector, often collecting gems or other objects that reminds him of himself and his namesake. He is also a surprisingly talented singer, though he usually keeps this to himself. He may occasionally be found humming particular tunes.

_APPEARANCE_

____Noctis's appearance is still considered a mystery. Though while he inherited his father's genes and his mother's primary and secondary color, his tertiary color is completely different from both parents'. Alongside this, his eyes are strikingly different in comparison to all of the Ice dragons within the clan, nearly matching his tertiary color as opposed to the usual white. This, as well as his breed, makes Noctis entirely unique. As a result of his appearance, he was named after the night sky that he so closely resembles.

____Due to his appearance, he blends into the clear, night sky almost perfectly. As a result, Noctis is nearly impossible to see at certain angles, which he often puts to good use when he volunteers for nightly gatherings. He's also sometimes referred to as the "Night Caller" by some of his clanmates, though he doesn't usually pay the title any mind. It's thought that this is why he spends the daylight hours in the darkest caverns possible, as opposed to being semi-nocturnal. Noctis refuses to either confirm or deny this, however.

___Some may say that the night is a time for darkness and evil. Noctis would be quick to disagree. He believes the nighttime hours are the most beautiful, a time for a serene silence and peace.

___Frequent flights under the moonlight further fuels this, taking great pride in his namesake. Whether others take his reasons to heart and find a new perspective is up to them, but Noctis will likely never be convinced otherwise.
