Hamelia:
Hamelia had always been extraordinary. She has always been outgoing, playful, gently smiling and kind to all ever since the day she was hatched. Even her father had time from himself to appreciate his daughter along side his first mate; Hamelia 's mother.
Hamelia had grown quickly, and easily mirrored her mother: long, with a grand wingspan. But, growing up in an ice clan had it's toll on a young pearlcatcher. Pearlcatchers belong in the sunny areas with warm climates most of the time. Not the vast snow bound desert that clung to the end of Sornieth. The constant cold had managed to weaken this dragon's already small wings and made the membranes very thin. They couldn't hold Hamelia 's weight in the air for very long and this was the only sad part in Hamelia 's life. Her favourite thing in her whole world was flying, no, soaring above the clouds and letting the air rush against her skin. Many nights, Hamelia would sit and stare longingly into the sky, wishing to kiss the stars. She would continue her normal daily routines within the lair but her parents noticed that she would not be happy here.
"There is a lair, located in the Behemoth of the Gladekeeper's watch, where a great few dragons live," Hamelia's mother had told her. "A great mechanic, a loving home and a few close friends live there." Hamelia smiled and eventually said good-bye to her icy home to search for this lair. Hamelia had a map, but navigating through the woods and jungles were daunting.
Weeks passed until she finally found Korynia's lair. Hamelia was exhausted when she found the lair and had nearly collapsed when she found the grinning tundra alongside the curious nocturne. After a few days of recovering, Hamelia told the dragons of her problems.
"I wish to soar, dance in the clouds, and finally meet the stars that looked over me for the last few weeks." The nocturne smiled and Dakota, the lair's small mechanic chuckled. His nimble fingers flew across metal and gears and eventually made bracers for Hamelia's wings. The fae looked at Hamelia and shook his head.
"You're gonna need more gear. If you haven't been abled to fly, your body ain't built for it. Lemme cook something else for ya!" Hamelia's heart sunk a little hearing the news and decided to let the small fae continue his work.
Hamelia was soon outfitted with bracers, goggles, and some clothing to keep her body warm while she was at higher altitudes. She was so happy her heart swelled up and tears burst from her eyes. Eager to try the gear, she hastily put it on and took off. Her first flight was over an hour! Before she could stay aloft for maybe ten minutes. She flew over tree tops, raced birds and chased water within clouds.
Hamelia soon grew tired, when it suddenly hit her: she really doesn't know how to fly. She just assumed how from watching others fly but she never had been taught how to. Hamelia didn't care, she could fly!
At least, she thought she didn't care. Until one day, a warm coated tundra had found his way into the lair. Hamelia had never seen another tundra with his colours, bright eyes and contagious grin. Hamelia got lost in his eyes, and apparently it didn't go unnoticed.
"Lyon, my dear." He bowed his head slowly and smiled at her.
"Hamelia, m-my name is Hamelia!" She grew close to him, eventually claiming each other as mates. Lyon had heard about her issues flying soon after they met and agreed to help her. Both of them now soar the skies together, him gently nudging her as she flies and giving advice as she dances among the clouds. Every once in awhile, they take a trip to do as Hamelia had always wanted: kiss the stars.

Born into this clan, he felt he had something to prove. The son of an ex-clan leader and past reader, he didn't have much going for him. Except, for machines. Ever since he was a hatchling, he couldn't stop putting together machines, pulling them apart, making small robots that were "alive". As he grew up, he became better and better at mechanics, until his father, the clan leader at the time, deemed him worthy of being the clan's Mechanic. Dakota has been very proud of this, until Clip, his mother, came to him one day, worried that Korynia's past was going to catch up to her and the rest of them. So Dakota built weapons, nothing that could kill a dragon since that was one thing he never dealt well with. He built smoke bombs, net throwers, snares and many more things reluctantly. But, the day to defend the lair finally came.
He was the second on sight to help Coraline and his mi d and hands went to work. He wove machine and flesh, wire and veins, heart and furnace into one dragon and his desperation to not see a fellow clan member die saved her life. After such a long time after the incident, he wonders what he could have done differently. To make her more dragon like, or have better machinery. He does know it doesn't bother Coraline, so he keeps his thoughts to himself. Happy just to have his friend still with him.
Dakota works exclusively with machines now, making new animals, fixing up familiars, maintaining Coraline and repairing things around the lair. With lack of a toolbelt makes it hard some days, so the one pocket Dakota does have, has a needle and thread in it. He uses it to sew small gears, loose screws, nuts, bolts and scrap metal to his clothing wherever he can find a place.

Dakota is the current leader of the Fae Faction within Korynia's lair. Because of the faes' small stature with all of the rather large dragons in the lair, they stay together to stay safe. Dakota made this to help himself and others stay close since he likes to have many friends. His second in command is Cog, a very close friend who is also his apprentice. Dakota and Cog spend many hours together teaching each other and developing their skills in mechanics.
The Faction is then broken up into small groups. Some faes are magical, wielding some sort of magic. Then the workers, they have a job within the lair. Assistants mostly, but their jobs are still important. Last, but not least, the Lair Keepers! They tidy up and clean the lair (except for personal spaces of course), their small stature and speed help get their jobs done in a timely manner.

Lyon loved his family, loved his mother and loved his father. At least, he thought he loved his father. His father was of the lightening clan so all Lyon was told growing up was, "work!, Faster son. Harder, work harder!"
Lyon remembers the day his father convinced his mother to leave the lair. Permanently. The man had talked his mother to exalt herself, which is an honour by all means. But his father looked Lyon in the eye and said, "she was a terrible worker, lazy. I did not love her, there was no reason for her to stick around."
The tundra's world shattered, tears fell from his eyes as reality of never seeing his mother again settled sourly in his stomach. Lyon turned his back on his father, heading to exit this lair and this life.
"If you leave now, you'll be just be like your mother! Lazy and uncommitted," his father called out to him.
"That's better than being like you," The last words Lyon ever said to him.
He flew and ran out of his previous lair as fast as he could. He eventually crash landed on the very edge of the Greenkeeper's domain. He cleaned himself up in the small everblooming pools. He filled up on snacks nearby and rested. It took three days for him to get here, resting in the treetops of the cool, humid forest. He played with wildlife, collected plants, met with nearby dragons and started making friends. Lyon went to the local market a lot, to gawk at nearby arts, foods, listen to stories and much more. One day, Lyon met a very lustrous nocturne, Korynia, her blood red scales casted a dark sheen on nearby dragons.
She was buying cloth for a fellow clanmate, when Lyon tried to talk to her. Lyon was trying to flatter her when she giggled, "I am not the one you seek. However, you do remind of a dear friend of mine. Follow me, I'll introduce you."
Lyon seemed to blush at Korynia's immediate denial to his advances but opted to follow her. He hadn't had a home in a long time, why not meet new dragons along the way? When Lyon met everyone, he hadn't seen the one dragon Korynia had spoken of. Asking where she was, that one dragon finally greeted him and the world stopped.
"M-My name is Hamelia, are you staying here?" She asked meekly. He nodded quickly.
He eventually learned about Hamelia's inability to fly. He had volunteered to help her, keep her aloft by giving her gentle pushes up, shouting words of wisdom. Hamelia eventually became a master of flying, which meant that they could spend an awful lot of time together. As Hamelia had put it, "kissing the stars" was their top priority but Lyon wanted to learn everything he could about his new mate. He is content with whatever Hamelia wants though, especially when they both wear a matching smile.

Dylan emerged from his egg with no one friendly to greet him. There wasn't a familiar maw to clean his face, not a warm paw to hold him close to a chest. He awoke from his egg, cold, alone, in the dark with the stench of the Scarred Wasteland embedding itself in his nostrils. He knew he ended up in the wrong place, Dylan knew this was not his home. He scurried over to the nearest puddle of liquid (he doubted it was water) and saw his ruby red eyes stare back.
It didn't feel right, not one bit! He didn't feel like he belonged in plague and so from that moment on he had to find himself. Not only that, he felt alone, like a piece of him was missing. Family? He had to be missing family! Maybe even his family was missing him. We wasn't sure but he needed to find who he really was, along with whoever was missing in his life.
He spent his life growing in the Scarred Wasteland learning how to fend for himself, fight for himself and grow all by himself. He has tried to study up on several different subjects, but he failed to keep an interest in any of them. Knowing his basic Deities however, he learned that the tundra species of dragon reigned from the Icewarden, the ruler of the Southern Icefields. He had asked for his assistance, so he could find his family and get out of the Wastelands. Dylan's pleas were answered in the form of a heavy coat emblazoned with the ice sigil. Dylan thanked his lucky stars, braided his extra mane out of his way and began to trudge across Sornieth. His logic: Icewarden answered me, my family must be there.
However, Dylan is not the best in logic or map reading and ended up in the Viridian Labyrinth instead. After trudging around for what felt like months inside the chlorophyll mess he found the forest's market place. It was bustling with dragons running to and fro carrying an assortment of things. The tundra tried very hard not to gawk and walk but this was the first time he had seen other life not rotting away at the bones. The dragons were healthy, happy, stench and carefree as they flitted from one stand to the next. Not paying attention to where he was going, he ran full speed into another tundra, Devon.
Once Dylan came back to focus on the other tundra he ran into, he almost burst into happy tears. Devon was taken aback once Dylan introduced himself as his brother. Dylan finally found his family! A brother, all the way across Sornieth. Without asking proper permission, Dylan followed the nervous and grinning tundra, Devon, back to his home. Devon brought him to Finkle, a geneticist who would be able to clear up the confusion. If Devon and Dylan could compare their genes and see that the two were not related, Devon would have no reason to continue to be nice to such a bombarding dragon.
The results came back in Dylan's favour though, the two tundras were indeed related, their parents long since passed away and they were each other's only family. Devon's egg had seen a misfortune and was carried off by a predator into the wasteland where the environment claimed the hatchling inside, dying his eyes ruby. Not having a dragon incubate the egg caused a delayed hatch, the reason why Dylan is so much younger than the other tundra.
Devon informed his brother the unknown fate of their parents. They were dead, Devon unsure of their fate. The two boys had grown close though, Dylan finally finding his family. Devon grew happier, smiled more often than before. It's probably from finally finding someone to share his odd past with.
