A slim figure standing among their friends, hiding partially behind them. They will peer at you as though afraid of what you might say, suddenly hiding a hand behind their back. If you’re fast enough at looking when you approach, you might have seen the black chitinous claws on that hand, but when they move back the claws are suddenly gone. Perhaps you imagined it.

You didn’t.

Eights is a very peculiar plague dragon, with a very peculiar affinity to Plague itself. Some might call it blessed or strongly elementally aligned, but Eights knows the truth and will quietly say ‘No, I’m not, but thank you for saying so.’ Any organic matter and blood Eights touches they can read and respond to. That means any virus they pick up in the blood of another they can fashion an antidote to given a few hours, and any virus or bacteria they pick up they can manufacture naturally. This means that they are a walking piece of biological warfare, and also a walking cure.

Please don’t call them a weapon though, they absolutely do not want to think about that and instead Eights spends most of their life walking around curing others and adding more information so they can continue to help. They will happily travel to another clan provided they are escorted there, though they are extremely aware that the way they cure can be somewhat...off putting, especially considering their appearance and element. A plague dragon handing you a vial of blood and promising you that it works isn’t often reassuring, but really, it’ll work! Please just give it a try! If something goes wrong I can always come back it's no problem!

They’re especially nervous of clinical areas or science workshops, and won’t go into a strange doctor’s office without a friend. You should also be aware that if threatened that neutral and normal appearance will suddenly drop and they'll start growing all kinds of strange mutations in order to scare you off.

And if that doesn’t work, well- that’s the story of how you ended up with both food poisoning and guinea worm all in one day.

Angel
They have often ended up travelling together, mostly because they seem to get the most out of the house aside from Jack and Pea. Eights tends to miss her if she goes on a trip without them, and feels like they passed on a chance to get more viral information.

Peoria
Peoria saved Eight's life, and they have never forgotten it. They also admire Pea's quiet nature and would do anything to help her should she ask.

-Is nervous around strangers. Many people are either afraid of them once they learn what they can do, or they're far too interested. They especially don't like those last types of people
-Comes across as detached, but really does want to help
-They're halfway between intrigued and terrified of what would happen if they ever touched the Wyrmwound
-Has control of what their blood produces as long as they're thinking of it. Please don't surprise them and open the disease pinata.
-Honestly a very sweet person who wants to assist others as best they can.
