He always knew he was a mistake, and no matter how indifferent he acts on the outside - that kind of knowledge can really mess a kid up. His parents were kind to him, they raised him with love, but there was always an air of embarrassment about it. They weren't in love with each other, they never had been, and now they live separate lives with their true mates. Leaving SanLucias lost between two worlds, stranded amongst two families that have little interest in him anymore.
From a young age and Abyss bonded over being raised by dragons who were "good", but who weren't good parents. They stayed with the clan (mostly because Abyss just cant give up), but they are a bit more casual about their home and clanmates. All they really care about is eachother, and making sure they never make the same mistakes as their parents.
SanLucias is talented in a few ways. For one, he can breathe fire, though mostly he just warms up rocks and then naps on them. His other talent is much more helpful, not like he cares about that though.
He is lucky, and he uses that luck to hone his skills in the fairground. It took a lot of work to get where he is, but now he can make tens of thousands of treasure in a single day. His profession may be a bit unconventional, but it is his, and he is very good at it.
