Biography
Beware the grace and beauty of the storm.
Tempest was a storm goddess. Being born to Water, she could command the water in the air, making her a formidable enemy indeed.
Thunderhead Savannah
The air ripples with static shock, but the goddess has never felt more at home. She lifts her head to the sky and spreads her wings, welcoming the torrent of rain she brings to the land.
An egg settles into the sand, rocking back and forth gently. Magic coalesced in this one spot, forming a dragon egg- one that's about to hatch. The dragon inside with be special, as the magic that formed it will be ever-present in the dragon itself.
The barnacles that cover the egg detach with a flurry of soft pops, sensing that the hatchling within is stirring. The egg begins to rock more strongly, digging a divot into the sand- then a crack appears at the top, steam hissing out. The hatchling within struggles, then the eggshell caves and falls apart, releasing a torrent of water from the egg. The fae inside opens her brilliant blue eyes and surveys the land around her- sand, tide pools, and the gentle sussuration of the waves.
She clambers out of the remains of the egg awkwardly, still getting used to her limbs. She stretches her wings with delight, entranced by the light glowing through them. She glances back at the waves, then furrows her brow and closes her eyes in concentration. Within seconds, a pale blue spreads through the top of her wings, matching the gentle color of the waves. She looks critically at her work, then smiles in delight- it seems perfect.
The fae tests her wings, flapping them once or twice- but they aren't strong enough to hold her weight in the air. With a sigh, she sets off along the beach on foot. She doesn't know what she is searching for, only knowing that she has a purpose that she doesn't understand yet- maybe one day she will.
~~~
A rumble fills the air, the sky dark and menacing. The fae is undeterred, setting her jaw and continuing onwards. Clouds tower above her, ready to unleash torrents of rain, and lightning streaks through the air. The fae has found herself in a savannah with an eternal storm, yet she isn't scared- far from it. As the rain begins to fall drop by drop, she smiles as if recalling an ancient memory from another life, one where the rain is home.
This is so terribly edited but I spent half an hour on it already SO
