Born to the Sovereign and her mate, Haeres will one day take over the clan. To be the perfect son, he let himself become aggressive and commands respect wherever he goes instead of earning it. Loved by his parents but hated by the rest of his clan, Haeres finds himself unsatisfied with himself and the dragon he feels he needs to be to maintain the attention and love of his parents. He fears being cast out by his mother and father like his brother if he doesn't be what they want.

Despite wanting to know and accept his brother, Haeres rarely talks to him and mostly tries to avoid him. They have only talked a few times, as he worries if their parents knew they were talking, they would reject Haeres, too.
