He was a "doctor", but not a real doctor. He didn't want to cure or fix the plague that Plaguebringer created, instead he wanted to learn more about it. Ever since he was born, he was interested in the way he could mold his arcane magic, and wanted to learn to control some of the tendrils and pustules bubbling on the surface of the Scarred Wasteland. Using arcane magic in his clan was forbidden, until he was approved the position as the Doctor. He was only able to use it when researching the plague, and only under the supervision of one of the clan's officials. As the Doctor, he had rights to alchemy and herbalist tools. The rest of the clan questions why he does or if he does secretly use his arcane magic, and if so, what his true motives are.

Lirael was specifically brought to Dhishne's clan because he was kin to their previous clan member, Kyril. Though he didn't understand it as a hatchling, Lirael came to understand why everyone talked so much of his elder brother. He grew to look up to the male he didn't think he'd ever meet, aspiring to do great things within the clan that became his new home. Lirael never particularly cared that he was compared to Kyril; majority of them were compliments, after all. One way to explain the enigma that is Lirael would be just that. He is a very stoic, yet approachable dragon. Lirael is extremely unpredictable and that gives him the upperhand in any situation; sometimes he'll turn sides in a fight simply to save his own skin, but other times he actually risks himself for another. There could be a reason behind everything he does, but it's impossible to know. He never explains himself, and often answers questions with other questions. One theory would be that he does it for fun, or to see the reaction of other dragons. There are a few dragons that he seems fond of, but there's no way to prove it as he keeps his feelings to himself majority of the time. Even the dragons he spends a lot of time with have no idea what he's thinking at any time. |
