Biography

lightningmid.png Recently brought from Lightning, Ancephares was coated in moonlight the moment he opened his eyes. The first thing he heard were his mothers screams. Something magical was in the moonlight that night. Something that only Anecephares could contain. His siblings were too weak for the moons power. They shriveled like raisins before Phares even got a good look at them.
Because of this, Phares was rather spoiled by his mother. No one really knew what the magic was, so the clan leader advised his mother to keep him away from the others. His mother made Phares outcasted life the best she could make it.

However, when Phares grew, his mother no longer was around him all the time. Phares was often left alone in his lair to think. One day, a tiny red tundra emerged into his den.
"Hello! I am Krill! The Shadowbinder has invited you to stay with her and her representatives!"
Ancephares was confused. Why would the Shadowbinder want to see him of all dragons? When he asked his mother, she told him he was being sent to help contain his mysterious magic.
Krill and his mother gave him no choice, he would have to leave his clan.
Upon reaching the lair of the Shadowbinder, he was kindly shown around by Krill. He showed him the magnificent tapestries made by local clans, the scroll written of dark tales and, finally, the hall of gifts. It contained gifts of peace from every flight. Jars that looked as if they had stars trapped inside from Arcane, beautiful preserved bouquets from nature, and even chandeliers of bones from Plague. One thing in particular caught Phares eye, one of the Light gifts. It was a statue of an Imperial, made of solid gold. The dragon seemed to be frozen in a scream of fear, or maybe triumph. It held a tiny golden teacup in her right talons.
"Ah, yes. 'The Imp of Gold.'" said Krill, flying up beside him. "A gift given by the Lightweaver herself, carved by a mysterious unnamed artist."
Phares stared at it, it seemed...alive. He put his ear up to the statue, a faint buzz could be heard.
"Do not touch it!" called Krill.
Phares tore himself away from it. Why would the there be a living statue in here? His mother always told him he had a overactive imagination.
He went over to Krill.

Ancephares had learned a lot in the several years with the Shadowbinder, yet they still weren't sure exactly what is magic was. There was no doubt he was magical, though. Countless scrolls were written on the 'Spell Moon' phenomenon. All the scientists knew was, the moon would choose a nest to enchant, and only one dragon from the nest that night would survive. Phares was still comprehending why it was him.
On a dark night, where the moon was missing, Phares awoke. Something was swarming in his head, a mist, of some sort. It told him to get up. He obeyed. It told him to spread his wings. He did. It told him to fly into the sky. He did.
Phares opened his eyes, everything was pixelated, and glitching. A fae rose above him, she was calling. Ancephares asked who she was. She told him she was the Gatekeeper herself. She reached down and hovered her talons over her head. "We are all cursed, Ancephares. It differs from dragon to dragon, but there is no doubt in our minds, we are cursed." Phares let out a tiny, "what?"
"It is time for you to join our cursed bloodline, Ancephares." She touched his head.
Something pulsed through him, and he felt its cold magic flow through his veins and he could taste in on his tongue.
The Gatekeeper laughed, "You are not magical, you are cursed."
then everything went dark.

He awoke to a buzz in his head. Phares sighed, what an odd dream. He emerged out of his room, to see some of the Ambassadors Dragonets playing a game. One looked up and pointed to him, to his eyes. His jaw dropped. The young dragon to them to run and they did.
Well, that was weird.
The buzzing was still there, louder, now. He decided to visit the Hall of Gifts to get his mind off things. Just as he hoped, the buzz went silent when he entered the room. He looked around and saw the golden imperial. He had forgotten about the weird statue. He set his ear against it once again. The buzz he was hearing earlier had returned. He reached out to the statue.
"What are you doing?" screamed Krill, who came out of no where.
"I- I am-"
"No!" yelled Krill. He turned him around. He shook his head and flew off.
Phares shook the experience off and continued out on his day. Though the ringing was back. A dragon pointed out his eyes were glowing, and a mirror he looked in confirmed that. What an odd day he was having.
That night, Phares could not sleep, the ringing was still there, and his head hurt. He emerged outside. A faint gold glow was surrounding the Ambassadors lair, and Phares, confused, tried to find the source.
He looked out to the Hall of Gifts, and there was Krill. His talons outstretched and he poured something into the statues cup.
"Krill? What are you.."
The tundra turned. His purple eyes widened, "Yes, 'chosen one?'" He held out a jug of brown liquid, "would you like some tea?" he said with a smirk.
A flash filled Phares mind, a sun glowing at the end of a cave. A smiling imp with misshapen eyes, a skydancer with blue glasses. All in the blink of an eye.
Phares looked at Krill, "What-what is going on?"
Krill chuckled, "I see you were touched by Naomi and the Shade."
Krill jumped at Phares, and he had to fight back. An image of the statue, smiling, her wings embracing him. Phares outstretched a talon towards the golden Imperial. Fate works in mysterious ways.
The world was fading, the statues wings twitched. Krill grabbed him. He whispered words of nonsense, words of magic. All of Phares memories were gone.

A gold Imperial was in front of the clueless dragon.
"H-hello?"
~
The future in this clan is quite bad indeed. If I slip who I truly am, I see the worst.
My memories are slowly returning. Why? This is I can not answer. Naomi is my ancestor, and my abilities are all her fault. There is nothing I can do to stop this magic. All I must do I protect Auriel. Somehow, our souls are bonded, our magic is looped together in an infinity sign. For our safety, would should leave out jungle home. It will hurt Auriel, but all that matters to me is her safety.
---
Dreams. Dreams are not reality. They are not real, they only exist in your mind. Well, that is obviously not true. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the nightly disturbances. Here I am again, in a dream. A path opens before me, I have nothing better to do so I follow. A forest is laying out in front of me. It is the Starwood Strand. A colorless guardian walks, her head is down, her neck broken. She is a spirit. A mist with a million voices speaks to her. I recognize it. It is Krill. "Yes, Puddle, I have been searching for you." His voice is unrecognizable, even among the thousands of souls he has stolen. This is just an average day for the mist of a million voices, though I assume Krill is it's most dominate mind for this moment. I have foreseen it returning for me, but my visions do not give much away.
"I am ready." Says Puddle.
"You know your deed. We will both get what we want. You will get revenge on your mother and I will get my statue back."
Puddle nods and gives him her arm, "I will burn Splendoria to the ground, making sure the statue, Yarrow and that stupid imperial are nothing but ashes."
Puddle's essence is taken, and her voice joins the million.
"with our minds as one,
we will have much fun."
Two red eyes blink.
"dad, mom! It's me, your son, Clover!"
Yarrow gave me a home. Auriel gives me hope. I must save them.
