Biography


Static, also known as Static the Bat Hunter, was a warrior of some renown in the Shifting Expanse. He uses the bulb on his forehead to attract bugs, which then attract bats. The bats he catches either by zapping them out of the air with his lighting magic, or by using his “static” trick. He emits a hum at the right frequency to jam the bats echolocation, then they can’t see his toothy jaws coming. Static made the mistake of joking about eating bats with BloodWing, and the mirror has distrusted him ever since. BloodWing likes bats.

Static was recruited by Arkar who had heard of his talents. She was quite thrilled when he and Magnacorn took an interest in each other. The two enjoy sharing stories about their childhood in the Shifting Expanse. Arkar would like them to hurry up and have a nest as soon as they are old enough. Static was very displeased when Mote and Magnacorn had a nest together, but Mote’s friends among the Mirrors defended him.
