Rubus is a collector of rare and dangerous objects, both living and not living. It started with a fascination with finding the roundest pebbles and the most vibrant flowers and the spiniest pet urchins when he was very very small. He hoards his treasures intently, and it is a rare friend that he gifts one of them to.

Rubus is the raspberry and blackberry genus. The name in Latin and was derived from the word ruber, meaning "red". Species in Rubus are called brambles, and the scientific study of brambles is known as "batology".
