SPLASH
Splash was one in a multitude of Light Angels. She had the important job of being a messenger angel, and she worked alone. Armed only with a sachel bag with messages for the gods and a desire to help dragons in danger, she was thrilled with her work. Most of her family were guardians, angels that had to stay with a patron until the patron became an angel themselves. Then the patron angel would be destined to become a guardian. Only a few dragons from her family had ever served the deities directly, which was strange, as her family was the very highest ranking in the Light flight. This was the reason almost all the angels were her siblings. Splash had a few brothers and sisters that looked the exact same as she did. Light, glittery bubblegum pink stomach and perfect, spotless pale maize bodies. Her other siblings just had lighter bellies. They were known throughout all the land as brave and strong and protective, and built up quite a reputation. Every dragon that got "blessed with an angel" had to move to the light flight and begin climbing the ranks. Dragons eagerly awaited to see if they would be chosen, except everyone dreaded a single name: Splash. She was the only angel that did not mean a higher life and purpose. This angel carried bad omens and messages of coming despair. If she visited you, you'd be cursed. Her same-patterned siblings were under constant attack, and it was all her fault. Her parents weren't happy. After a shift, they pulled her aside. She told them it wasn't her fault she was the messenger, it wasn't her fault she was chosen for a higher purpose than they were. That was the last straw, her parents responded. With a family vote, sick of their baby sister, the decision was made. She would leave the Light Angels forever. She would be permanently marked for her crimes against all dragonkind. She would become a permanent outcast.
