THE SUBDUED DIVER
The children of the Masons are creatures of mystery. Seemingly carved from solid stone, yet somehow birthed from crystal eggs and pulsing with the magic of life and growth, these dragons endlessly seek meaning and purpose in what might be a never-ending life.

As a being of solid rock, and as one in the form of a water native, Batholith found that he was quite suited to tasks of diving in his early life. He started by fetching clams for his clutchmates off the lake floor, simply wading into the water and sinking like a stone. Through his childhood, Batholith pushed himself further and further, eventually developing magical skills which could be used to illuminate his surroundings for especially deep dives. Batholith is now an absolute expert, a master of the art. He will often disappear for days at a time, returning with treasures from the deep and directions to a bounty of food. Any clan would be blessed to house him and his skills.

Even if other dragons could match his skills, diving is solitary work. Speech is next to impossible at these great depths, after all. As such, Batholith is a solitary creature; he is not inhospitable, simply a dragon who appreciates his alone time. Certainly a drake of few words, neither flashy nor gaudy, he values simplicity and honesty in all things.
