Scene 1

A wanderer from a nearby clan with little remaining space in its lair, Zephyr has been collecting jokes, stories and songs throughout his life. With his snappy sense of humor, he delights in laughter, even when the joke is on him. His prized possession is his lute, which accompanies him everywhere he goes. It is a bit of a stretch to consider him a clan member given that he wanders everywhere for days or weeks on end, but he always returns to the clan eventually and stays a few nights to entertain everyone and practice new songs as well as bring back word about how the exalted members of the clan are doing, and he still considers it his home clan. Everyone enjoys his stay.

Zephyr does not talk about his past much. He has confided in a few friends that he was one of his few siblings not to be sent to serve a deity as a child, mainly because he had musical talent but also because he was otherwise considered useless because he was always a pacifist. However, most people assume that his life has been as happy-go-lucky as he seems.

Recently, he and the other entertainers from the clan have formed a group, the Bamboo Bards, and they enjoy traveling from place to place to entertain. He is proud of the name he invented for the troupe, and although some of the other dragons dislike the name, most of them like Zephyr too much to tell him so. As well as performing, he organizes their journeys and keeps track of who commissions their performances.

Illusion is every bit as mischievous as Zephyr, and he found Illusion when she messed up one of his performances in the fire realm by distracting everyone in the middle of one of his songs. Instead of getting annoyed, he asked her to join him, and now she helps him with his performances.
