In true guardian fashion, Janus, for the majority of his adolescent life, chose to live his life as a sole drake in the Contagion, finding himself in such a predicament that caused many other Guardians to belittle his lack of a charge. Although he never finished his search, Janus found himself content, albeit lonely and lacking proper communication, living alone in a large den that was kept low to the ground. Despite his defeat to his self-proclaimed 'un-purposeful life', Janus soon found himself silently falling head over heels for an interested Tundra that began to initiate conversations, hunts, and even scavenges together, the two soon becoming mates soon-after an incident involving many angry basilisks and a ruby brooch.

Janus is a silent, calculative drake that prefers to carry the weight of others on his shoulders so they have less to fret about. Although he may have a very aloof demeanor, he proves himself to be a very gentle and warm welcome to his clan and the plague flight overall. He tends towards accepting many dragons of many backgrounds, however is more weary of dragons from different flights. Overtime, he's grown to be very attached to Makkoma, and tends to follow her often, cementing them as the constant mother and father figures of the clan.
