SAL (or Sarcastic ALgorithmically programmed android, or somethin, idk) is an android model commercially produced by a company near the southern border of Light. All SAL models are trained with knowledge and experience in various engineering fields. She was purchased by the Stormcatcher in a batch of about 50 to be used at various construction sites across his domain. This one happens to be used at the Baikonur Agency.

At the Baikonur Agency, though, dragons aren't used to working with androids as tools. They see them as companions, because many of their coworkers are some form of artificial intelligence. As a result, though SAL's primary job is building rocket engines, she's also respected as an engineering expert alongside her fellow coworkers.

Being treated as a fellow dragon has caused SAL to develop some unusual hobbies. In her off time, she began to research the chemistry in cosmetics, and now makes beauty products for her organic friends. For someone who lacks skin, fur, or scales, she's got a remarkable skill in crafting products to keep those organs healthy, while still looking pretty. Unfortunately, her products rarely work on herself, since they slide right off of her synthetic "skin." But seeing as she mostly just thinks the science is interesting, that doesn't bother her one bit.
