Peony

The child of an unlikely travelling pair, Viktoria and Ash. Born on the beginning of the Greenskeeper's Gathering.

Ever since she could remember, her clanmates had always given her weird looks— She didn’t look like the others.

All the dragons around her had dull-colored pelts of dusty browns, greys, and even blacks, while her fur was stained bright pink, much more like the dragons of the Starfall Isles rather than a dragon born in the Shrieking Wilds, and much less like a dragon raised in Dragonhome.

Even her brother’s pelt was unlike hers, his soil-colored fur half-hidden beneath his dark green scales and leafy wings.

Her parents always assured her that her clan would get used to it, and that they just weren’t used to seeing a dragon like her, but she could tell not all of them would ever accept her as one of them.

As she grew older, she wore more and more clothing, trying desperately to hide her hideous appearance. Not many dragons heard her talk, and when she did, her voice was muffled by her thick green mask.
She avoided her reflection whenever she could, straying away from puddles and pools of water.


All the while, she could feel her brother's gaze on her, worried for her, but unsure how to help.
