Shaihera lives for nothing but the coli. She's spent her whole life wriggling her way to the hardest venues just for the sheer satisfaction of her longing to hunt. With her brother, who's been her companion since the nest, at her side, she feels little to no connection with anything that remains at her flight's lair. She takes sleeping space and eats their food, and in exchange she takes the overgrown younglings and lost travelers to "journey" with her until their intimidation drives them away from the clan forever. It's very effective, really. Plus her clan reaps the benefits of all the loot she carries back with her. She has no use for it; you can't run while overencumbered, and she would never win without her speed.

Her shadow serpent guards her weak spots. When she sleeps, he watches; when she travels to the next battle, he naps. Then, they fight together, appearing as one unit, a chimera that none can touch. With him, she feels so impenetrable that she would run into battle without armor, but she wears hers to placate her stern sibling's admonishments.

When dreaming, she spies the trails of wanderers and marauders she wants nowhere near her clan. While most of her clanmates wait until morning to act upon their dream visions, she often wakes herself mid-REM to hunt out those who come too close her territory. The clan no longer responds with surprise when Shaihera staggers to the clan in the morning, sleep-deprived and dripping with blood that's not hers.
