Biography

Tezoth lived on a beach, long ago. He can't remember much about it, but he knows he had a mate and children. Then there was a tsunami, and he never saw them again. Somehow he made his way into the Conch Caves - again, he can't remember it too well, because he is ancient. The one thing he does remember clearly is the pain. He had lost everything, and he just wanted the pain to go away. But he didn't want to die. He wanted to try for a new life, because he knew he could be happy again. He then met Ptah, who felt the opposite way - she too had lost her family, but she wanted to die and be with them. They formed a balance. He was kind and sympathetic to her, helping her through her pain, even though he was struggling too. They became best friends, and lived together in the Caves for many, many years, just the two of them. Then one day, Ptah came back with a younger Tundra named Splash. Tezoth welcomed him and was kind to him, but he wasn't as close to Splash as Ptah was. It was clear that Splash was like a son to her, which surprised Tezoth, because he had thought Ptah hated young dragons. Ptah started spending less and less time with Tezoth, and more time with Splash. Though it saddened him to lose his best friend, he was happy for her, and happy for Splash, whose parents had abandoned him. But then Sandy came along, and Splash fell in love with her. They left together, much to the despair and anger of Ptah. For her, it was like losing another child. Tezoth comforted her, just like he did when she lost her first family. Ptah was back to the grouchy, pessimistic dragon he knew, but he was closer to her than ever. He was the only dragon that understood her. When Splash came back the second time as an adult, looking to start a new clan, Tezoth could see her conflicting emotions. She was bitter over Splash's departure with Sandy, who she hated, but part of her was still happy to see him. Tezoth coaxed her into accepting his return, and the two of them joined his new clan. The old dragon helped both Ptah and Splash in ways neither of them could ever know, and he doesn't get enough credit for all the credit he gave them.
