BIOGRAPHY


XXXKaikalika was originally a bit of a loner in the Coven. Her only good friends were Clementoz and Unusu. She had met the mates while they were traveling and looking for a place to settle down together. After getting to know Oz and Unusu, Kai was hesitant to ask if she could go with them when they left, as she was all alone and had been for quite some time. Her siblings had all exalted themselves, and her parents had never been that warm towards her. Before she could find the courage to ask to go with them, Unusu asked Kai if she would like to travel with them. Kai heartily accepted, and the three of them later found the Calyx Coven and settled into the territory.

XXXWhile Oz and Unusu settled well into the Coven and had a clutch of hatchlings, Kai always felt like she was not meant to be there with them. Even after Oz, Unusu, and later their three daughters had pledged themselves to the Coven, Kai decided not to. While she loved the Pearlcatchers who had made her a part of their family, she was still considering whether it might be better for her to leave. For some reason, she felt like she might be better off somewhere else.

XXXThen, one day while out with the other Hunters of the Coven, Kaikalika met the first Wildclaw she had seen in a long time. The Wildclaw stranger called Komatios was looking for refuge, as he was being hunted tirelessly by a pack of Mirrors who accused him of stealing from them, though he’d done no such thing. Though Phinidelus, one of the other Hunters, was suspicious of Koma, Kai felt that he was telling the truth, so she took him to the Coven’s leader, Flumefax, and asked that Koma be given sanctuary. After learning the reason why he needed the Coven's help, Flumefax granted the Wildclaw sanctuary in the Coven.

XXXWhen the Mirror pack eventually caught up to Komatios’s new location, the Coven’s Guards and Scouts made quick work of them and sent them fleeing in fear. The Mirrors realized that Koma was no longer easy prey and never returned to try and harass him again. Kaikalika and Komatios got to know each other after the fight with the Mirror pack, became mates, and later on pledged themselves to the Coven together. Koma and Kai met their Pilco Familiars, Tenny and Pilky, during one of their evening walks together. The two thought the silly lizard creatures were quite entertaining and the four have been constant companions to one another ever since.
