Dear Father,

I hope that you and Mother are both well. I know Mother must be busy with her duties for the Lightweaver, but perhaps you could forward my regards.

Just sending a note to let you know I am well and happy in my new clan. In fact, I was chosen to represent light in the clan's Panoply of Flights. As such I am entrusted with the clan's precious Light Sprite, who is a sweet and cheerful little dear.

Sorry I didn't write earlier but it's been busy, and there have been some changes. I chose a spell to conceal my rose tertiary to keep more in the yellow theme , but I enjoy knowing it's there, as there are yellow roses in the world, too. I was also gifted with the Faerie Lights during the recent Brightshine Jubilee.

The Palmetto clan is a Nature clan, and we grow lots of plants and flowers here. Attached is one I found blooming just this morning.

My dearest Lucia,

please excuse me for taking so long to reply to you. These past weeks have been exceptionally busy. The old rivalry against Shadow Flight has been revived stronger than before, and the fight is straining. In such troubled times your letter filled me with deep joy. Hearing from my daughter, that you are happy and well, is a relief for me and that you were chosen to represent your homeflight is a source of pride I can barely find the words for. I am sure that you will fill this role very well.

Thank you for the rose you sent me. It fits our tertiary very well indeed and it has been a nice reminder of my daughter to me - it also will be in the future, both for me and your mother. I will take your regards to her myself in short time. The call to battle has been growing stronger and I can no longer ignore the Lightweavers cries. I, too, will offer myself in service to the Brightest One. I am but one small dragon, and yet I hope that my contribution will make a difference. The memory of you shall give me strength in all that is to follow.

My dear Lucia, I hope that you will find further happiness in your new clan and wherever your future life might take you. Your mother and I shall tell the Lightweaver of your role as a representative so she may bestow her blessings upon you.

PS: I have attached some of the beetles you used to be so fond of as a hatchling. There is probably an abundance of them in the Viridian Labyrinth, but I wanted to spoil you a little. I hope you are still as fond of them as I remember.
