Moria
Captain of the Guard | Scavenger
41889253_350.png
Moria is the child of two very unlike dragons. Her mother, Guinevere, was pure and from royal heritage. She was raised to be a queen one day. But she was not as fair as the household would wish. She liked the strength of males to much and fell in love with them one after another. Moria was one of those unlucky hatchlings born from her liaisons. Her father was a scavenger. He roamed through the ruins of old times searching for something valuable. He took Moria with him once he came to visit Guinevere once more, only to see her by the side of another. As a young hatchling Moria didn’t understand much of the weird construct of relationships. But she liked this dragon that claimed to be her father. He seemed like a true hero. A little mean and ruff but that what the cool heroes are. After a time by his side Moria grew up to be as ruff and mean as her father, taught by hunger and darkness she followed his path without a second thought. Nothing would come to separate them they thought until they traveld to the Bamboo Falls.
Rumours said, there was an old wishing well that could hold valuable old coins in it. As they arrived, they found the place not as abandoned as they thought it’d be. Dragons had settled down all around the well, hatchlings playing in the grass. Morias father got angry. He got desperate. He planned to attack the dragons and take whatever valuables there might be. Moria was opposed to that idea, but her stomach had been hurting for days now. They needed food and money and scavenging was highly unsuccessful in the past months. So, they attacked. Their massive bodies crushed the walls and nests underneath them. They heard hatchlings crying, adults screaming. Dragons charged at them, a scared shocked look in their eyes. Only a few of them knew how to fight. A rather small Imperial, if one could call an Imperial small, accompanied by a Ridgeback tried to reason with them. Moria hesitated. The terrified look in their eyes. The tears all around her. This wasn’t right. But her father was on a rampage. He screamed and yelled and threatened. A skydancer dashed from the sky, dropping down on her father, trying to secure the wings. Other dragons joined him, encouraged by the bravery. Moria just stood there watching, the Imperial started to reason with her, she seemed to have noticed Morias doubts. Her father shook the dragons off with ease, he spread his frills, building a guard around him. Only the brave skydancer continued to charge at him, despite a seemingly broken wing. After he was slammed to the ground and her father bit his neck, Moria had made a decision.
He was going to kill them if she wouldn’t interfere! She tackled her father, roaring and growling at him like she had never growled before. That was the moment when she knew. Her heart was trying to tell her the whole time. The undefeatable urge to protect ran through her veins and her brain fogged. Her body moved on her own as shestood before her father, ready to fight. He noticed. He had a sad look on his face when he resigned, flapping his wings and breaking branches as he took off. Moria had found her charge. The wishing well was what she was meant to protect. She apologized to to dragons, ready to receive any punishment, helped to rebuild the place even better than before. After a while she earned the trust of them and became captain of the guards. And she found another thing beside her charge. That young, brave skydancer.
