Spinel

Spinel (pronounced spin-ell) was a newborn when she was found in an abandoned cave filled with crystals. Ariza was the dragon to find her and carry her back to the lair after he found the mother dragon dead. While Spinel was growing up, she was always harsh with her words and other training younglings during training. Spinel was a larger dragon and was able to beat most of the dragons during drills and pre-battle practice. Even with her slight intend to bully to defeat, it was half intended to make the other learning dragons stronger. She knew that the words that left her tongue made them upset, which pushed them to take her harder. (Hey, she needed someone compatible!) During her first real battle, Spinel was able to knock five dragons older than her off. She has a close connection to Ariza (the one who saved her as a hatchling) Cocoa (the dragon who raised her). Spinel is now one of the highest ranking dragons-in-battle in her lair today. Spinel loves to do tricks in the air and impress the little dragons, encouraging them to be strong. She also enjoys training as much as possible, and never minds competing in [rule-breaking] competitions (in secret and outside of the lair/clan).

-More information on competitions: strong dragons who like to show themselves off and win a little loot usually meet up with dragons from a variety of clans. They go 1 on 1 (or 2 on 2) and fight. Dragons who do this and get caught are likely to be punished in their lair/clan. (Think of these as illegal dog fights in the real world today.) The winner gets a prize and the loser gets death, serious injury, or they can give up and leave.
