B I O G R A P H Y

Regel was one of the more striking dragons in the clan. Both in his colouring and dress sense.
He was a flamboyant Coatl, but a surprisingly quiet and demure one.
Although known for the fancy ways he often dressed (he liked his apparel bright and shiny), Regel was a very private and polite dragon.
And quite effeminate in nature too.
This often lead to him being the butt of jokes at first. With his 'girlish manner and delicate green claws' as some say, he certainly seemed a easy target for travelers to aim at.

Regel was a extremely well mannered dragon too, often not responding or even listening to the harsh words directed to him.
Only once had his serene nature been pierced.
The time when a group of obnoxious travelers made the derogatory remark that Regel must favour 'the other side with his cissy ways...'
Now Regel was a very tolerant and patient dragon. One of the calmest in the clan, But the one thing he did despise was prejudice towards others.

He was... not one for the company of the same gender. He had a mate in the strong if touchy female, Manasa (who was the one normally to stop comments she deemed cruel and unfair by terrorising and biting those that said them).
But he did have friends in the clan who preferred the company of those of the same gender, and felt strongly on the subject, as such Regel wouldn't tolerate any comments such as the ones made that time by the travelers passing through.
What he did to said travelers after his temper finally snapped though was remembered, passed on (and felt) for a long time after.

B I O G R A P H Y

Apart from being henpecked by his head strong, though adorable mate (he was quite besotted with his feisty life partner), Regel's role in the clan was that of a botanist. Unsurprisingly for one born of the nature flight.
Often underestimated, Regel would seed, nurture, grow and harvest many different plants for the benefit of his clan.

Everything from food for those that could eat that grown from the soil, healing herbs and leaves that the non healers had been taught to carry and use if need if a healer wasn't near at the time, to other herbs and extracted oils, the scents of which many a dragon used for calming and stress relief.

He would also help his nest builder mate by pointing out foliage that could be used in the nest both as comfort for the parents and hatchlings, and as protection from the elements. (The changing wind currents in The Windswept Plateau had been known to cause some mayhem to those trying to build and keep nests in one shape and piece)
Between them, Regel and Manasa were able to create safe nests for the adopted family that stayed in one place.... Most of the time anyway...
While Manasa was get frustrated over having to redo things, Regel was the calm and collected one.
Regel was the perfect example of 'Never judge a book by its cover'
