The Tidelord is a teacher of good fortune, destiny, and crossroads
subspecies: TIDELORD
Blessed with the true coloration of Tidelord, these dragons have diplomatic immunity throughout the Sea of a Thousand Currents. This immunity can only be revoked if these dragons perform an act against the sacred laws of Tidelord. To harm one of Tidelord's blessed chosen is believed to lead to ill fortune. This belief has extended outside of the sea realm; they are exalted above all other subspecies of Water Flight and given a place of honor in a clan. They may still act as warriors, so long as the battle is an honorable one, but having them on a fighting team can be problematic since other Water dragons will rush to their defense, even going so far as to throw their bodies in the way of harm and sacrifice themselves for that protection.
Often these dragons make their way to the Spiral Keep to become priests and priestesses of the Flight. There they learn to perform the daily sacred rites and rituals used by Water Flight Clans, and some learn to harness the powers of prophecy and magic. Each Tidelord dragon is gifted one blessing from Tidelord: it may be physical or magical abilities, like swimming and foresight, or other unique characteristics like stealth and detecting lies. If they misuse this gift, they may lose it, or have it turned back upon themselves.
