"You just can't miss something as beautiful as me!"
By all rights, Aurelia should not be alive. Which makes sense, given the sheer number of witches in Nyx Coven. All of them, whether by chance or design, have acquired their magic through death and life again.
Most of them, however, are not thieves, which makes blending in a little hard, not that Aurelia wants to blend in very much at all. Like her mate, she carries a flair for the dramatic, a love of the ostentatious. Unafraid to let the world see her face even as she waltzes off with all its treasure, she lives for the thrill, the bright lights, the attention. Unlike Porphyrius, though, she uses her love of the limelight for work and play alike.
They've been at this for years, laying heists and dazzling their way to freedom. Their cavalier confidence feeds off one another, and their steady devotion just makes it easier to be so loose. If one is in a pinch, the other will always come, just in time to make the getaway clean as can be. Usually, Aurelia claims this job. One part vanity, one part genuine beauty, she knows how to stop a show and draw all the attention while her mate makes his escape. There aren't many dragons who can resist sneaking a glance at her now and again.
For those of tougher stuff, though, she has a trick up her sleeve.
Once, when she was alone, a heist went wrong, and she was shot by a hidden archer, ready for anything. Lying out in the sun, dying slowly, she had feared the worst: an ugly second life, reborn as an emperor. Instead, she got the sweeter second chance, laced with sunshine.
In the event that the getaway isn't so clean, her magic allows her to create blinding light, covering their tracks while everyone else is covering her eyes. In the coven, her skills are restricted to small decorations and parlor tricks while she and Porphyrius maintain their cover, but one day, they're going to fly out in a blaze of glory. It'll be quite the thrill.
