Yes, those are gems. Yes, I do look like running water. Yes, that is why my name is River. No, I am not a girl!

River was born a real beauty. He looked like crisp, cool water with stepping stones upon his hide. The dragon loved how he looked, and often kept himself well cleaned and bathed. It made his gembond shine like silver! How he loved his looks... Some might call him quite self-centered for it, and truthfully? He was. He adored himself so much so, that his clan mates finally kicked him out. He would need to hunt on his own, to learn to survive.

He had never done anything worthwhile in his life...! How was he supposed to live? He hoped that his family would allow him to return, allow him another chance, though he'd squander it. Alas, they did not. And so, he traveled far from the home he once knew.... He was forced to learn skills that had been known to others. He had to fish for his meals, and the Deities knew how many times he failed! It was troublesome....and slowly, he was beginning to learn what it meant to really be a dragon.

His travels took him far, across vast lands before he finally found a clan to call his own, and settled down. River can still be quite cocky and self-centered at times, but he no longer makes others do his work for him. He hunts and fights, just as well as any other member. And when someone needs him most, he is there. River is a loyal friend, and thusly, he became known as....
