Biography

Tyson’s blood subspecies

He stood in front of the ridgeback on a dimly lit winter night, staring eye to eye with the enormous creatures. He had no time for fear, no time for its speech of its woes. It had a bounty, a kind of bounty that’s better to turn in dead. With every step the ridge took back, he would move closer. He was waiting. The ridgeback thought it could try taking him on, after all he is a nocturne, a small, sleepy dragon; but it was definitely surprised when it felt blood flow out of its neck. The ridge panicked and swung wildly around, trying desperately to land a hit, but he was too fast. With more and more slashes landing around the neck the ridge started to tumble and fall. It flailed a bit before he landed upon its giant head. The ridge made a bloody, coughing attempt to say “Who are you?” and he just stared into the ridges eyes as it took its last breath. “SoulReaper.”

——-

He was born a Tysion’s Blood, a magical blood bond shared through generations of mercenaries. While he didn’t get the best of the strength part of the blood, his speed and agility was exceptional, and his enemies never expect it. He landed near a lit up bar out in the middle of know where in the ashfall and walked in. Many scruffy, scarred looking dragons didn’t even bother turning and kept drinking from the spilling cups. He walked over to his usual sitting area and waited. After some time two more dragons, a pearlcatcher and mirror entered, one holding a basket moved over to where he was sitting and sat. “So Tysion, get the kill?” The light eyed pearlcatcher said with a toothy grin. “...Yes.” Was all he needed to say. “Excellent! No more worries from his snooping around. Your payment.” The mirror put the basket on the table and he quickly pulled it to his side. The pearlcatchers grin only grew more. “Now you would mind if we hire you again. You see a fire clan has been stirring many of us... business dragons up and well we can’t have that?” He looked at the pearlcatcher and said “...who.” “Your targets would be two guardians. One that is orange and the other is black. Trust me you won’t miss them.” “...where.” “They’re on the eastern side of the ashfall. Don’t worry I made sure to bring a map.” The pearlcatcher clicked its claws and the mirror pulled out a map and placed it on the table. “... pay.” “Of course you will receive your payment once the deed is one. For such a big hit I’ll triple what I usually pay.” “...Deal.” He got up of his stool and put the map in one of his many pockets before leaving the grinning pearlcatcher and his assistant still at his area.

He always did his kills at night. It was easier for him as his species was already well adapted to the darkness and with adding his special blood he was a hunter; he needed to find his prey. He read the map to the clans location and saw what type of situation he would end up in. Majority of homes were underground, oblivious to what happened above. There were guards, a couple of torches still flickering and the occasional beastclan member running through. The map didn’t say which house was his targets but he made the assumption that the bigger the hole, the bigger the dragon. He flew through leaving no trail as he sped quietly around looking at the size of holes. The biggest hole he found was at the end of the market area, a hole that had been decorated with many assortments or stones and silks. He ventured down, making sure he was still undetected and peered through. Inside they laid asleep.

——

It should’ve been a quick two kills but the black guardian saw as I approached the orange. For a guardian he was quick but sluggish in movement as his claw failed to connect. His spontaneous movement awoke the orange guardian and now with two fully battle ready guardians stuck in an small, enclosed area, the fight was on. The orange guardian swung first, missing as he dodge easily out of the way, similar attacks came from the black one with same results. There was no opportunities to attack back as well as they were watching each other, making sure gaps were watched. Tails were clashing onto the walls, knocking over everything in the room, wings were trying to be stretched out, roars of anger could absolutely be heard from above. He knew those guards would be coming and he knew his attempt of killing them was over. Through dodging and weaving the fury of claws he attempted to fly back out once more but came face to face with a guard who also started fighting back. It was becoming too much to handle. Attack from all sides were in his face and finally a blow was struck to him. The orange guardian, in the mass of attack, waited for the right opportunity where he would be facing closest to it to strike. A claw landed straight down the nocturnes face and a loud scream hiss exscaped its body. With pool now flowing from him, he didn’t care about his well being anymore and used his speed to nearly dodge the guards final attack before flying underneath it and escaping.

He looked back at the mass amounts of torches gathering around the hole. His eye was never going to be the same he knew that. He lived to fight another day, another day to hunt his prey. He headed back to the bar in wait once more.
