The Basin Spirits were not strong enough to bind Hol on their own. Even with their combined magic, the emperor's ancient and nameless strength was too much to grapple with. Desperate they summoned Thana, a being suspected to be as old as the Gladekeeper herself. Perhaps even older. They originated from Dragonhome, as old and pure as a true dragon can be. Thana is more than that still. No living creature is sure of the power he possesses... where and why it was bestowed onto them. Nonetheless, Thana is a force. She is as close to an angel as any being can be.

A grain of salt is all that's needed to summon her. However, it takes much more to hold her interest and even more still for her to invoke any magic.
