"MONSTER!" An agonized voiced cried out. A grey pearlcatcher held her eggs close; her pearl destroyed. The smell of blood lured him closer. A high-pitched scream broke the silence. He realized what he has done, and wept. He was a scholar. A kind one at that, which is something many would be surprised to hear. Generous, handsome, loyal; it was all that anyone would want. But jealousy arose from his peers. His own kindness was his downfall. They took advantage of him. His kindness soon became a curse. He became miserable. One day, a day like any other, he met her. A pearlcatcher. Her beauty was unlike any others, her mane so luscious, and her eyes like starlight. "Who are you?" The pearlcatcher smiled. "Aria." The two became acquaintances, then friends, then even lovers; and their love for each other was immeasurable. But those who took advantage of him hated her. What did he have that they didn't? Why should he have a loved one, when they didn't? But they had a solution. Mind control. Starstriker soon lost himself, as he murdered his own beloved in cold blood. After what happened, he took revenge, for himself, and for Aria. "B*stards like you all don't deserve to live." However, he was defeated. His wounds were fatal, and he was to die. But Lightweaver pitied him, for he was one of her brethren. His wounds closed, his flesh was replaced by a hard, crystalline material, and his blood turned golden. He was stronger than ever before. Kindness was replaced by bloodthirst, honestly by lies, and generosity by malice. He could have his revenge. | . |
