From a young age, Safira has grown up loving jewellery. She can be described as expressive, vain and also empathetic for her clan mates. She has an affinity for large and ornate jewelry. While it's time-consuming doing such large pieces, she has a long attention span. While primarily she uses gems, she also does glass jewellery, her speciality being the flowered type. She actually makes the beads herself, as glassblowing is a minor hobby of hers.

Safira had been experimenting with placing preserved flowers in gems, metal, or resin to make them appear trapped in the material. The sapphire Coatl can often be seen collecting her own as well as her family's shed feathers because of her love of shiny things. When her brother Zilean's disease was made known to her, she crafted him a necklace with feathers from the whole family on it. That way they'd always be with him. She often sends her brother origami letters in the shape of flowers, as due to his contagious disease she can't visit him without risk of catching it.

However, since he got better, they spend as much time together as they possibly can. True, they get along - but they'll always be siblings and tend to fight over very small things. Mostly who gets to take the prettiest flowers.

Safira had a daughter at a young age, named Selena. Selena was unfortunately born when Zilean was still sick, and as Safira spent more time worrying about her brother than her daughter, they soon became estranged.
She almost never sees her daughter now, just barely knowing that her brother Rohan visits Selena from time to time.
