Chapter 1: Creation
When Time began, Shpilmby saw many events unfold before it. It saw how the other three younger dragons all claimed members of the first three broods, leaving none left for him to favor. It saw how they bestowed power to their favored ones, and how he had none to bestow anything to. Shpilmby was jealous, and so it clipped the end of its talon, and laid the shard before it. It wrapped the talon in sands of Time, and created the first Demidragon. Aurelia was born solely of the power of Shpilmby, and was granted the same immortality. Shpilmby trained Aurelia and raised her to be almost as powerful as a true Elder Dragon. When she reached adulthood, Aurelia was given control of Time, not as much as the one who had created her, but more than any dragon of the favored broods would ever have.
