When Sundance told him about her project of leaving, he immediately offered to accompany her, and didn't waver when, after examining him with her piercing eyes for a long minute, she asked if he was absolutely sure. They left together, and though he missed his friends and his old clan, he never regretted following her.

They travelled the lands, meeting new friends and sometimes settling for a few months, more for his sake than hers. He was imposing enough that they were rarely bothered by stray creatures, and the dragons that weren't deterred by his size were reminded not to mess with them by Sundance's sharp remarks.

- - - - Personality
Battledance grew up with Sundance and their hatch siblings, thriving in his clan. He is strong, playful, always ready to go on an adventure; but very early he took a shining to Sundance, and when he had a free moment, he could be found keeping her company. She would lean against him, writing down the clan's records, and they'd talk for hours.

- - - - The clan
He was the first one to become truly friends with Stardance when they met her and Dunedance, and the first one to openly express the idea of staying with them, late one night, between himself and Sundance. With the way things progressed, he felt after they settled that it was time he took on a more important role in the newly formed clan.

He takes care of the younglings a lot, but also hunts and forages for food - sometimes with Stardance, and sometimes even taking on the young ones with him, though never far from the lair.

- - - - Relationships
Although close friends with Stardance, right now he is most curious about Dusk, and has confided in Sundance that he likes them very much and would like if they stayed around more frequently.

Sundance is his best and oldest friend, and their relationship is so solid and seamless it is unclear whether the clan is his charge or if she was in the first place. Nevertheless, they're both content the way they are, and Battledance makes sure to always spend a few minutes with Sundance every day if he can.
