Scylloidra
Captain of the Gale Wolf
"...and no one knows where the Gale Wolf blows..."
"Pipe down, lads, unless you want to kiss the gunner's daughter!"
Scylloidra is a pirate queen in command of a fleet of ships numbering about 100, her main vessel the Gale Wolf being the first of many stolen ships. Ambitious and greedy for gold, notoriety, and respect, she's worked her way to the top pirate society with her impeccable nose for riches and a knack for getting out of situations long before they become sticky. She's stern and unbending, and doesn't give second chances. Regarded by the crew as the harshest of taskmasters, Scylloidra keeps her ship in pristine condition at all times. She is, however, just in her distribution of work; no one has ever been able to accuse her of playing favorites. Scylloidra is never seen without her familiar, whom she has assigned the name Screech. Screech lives up to his raucous name, vociferating copiously whenever he notices something particularly interesting. He can mainly be found peering out from the folds of his master's bandana. While the Captain does consider the multi-directional eyes of her small ally to be useful, the two share no common language. Despite this, Scylloidra seems to listen to him, and may even absentmindedly bestow some sort of affection upon the bird occasionally. |
