The Guardian was enormous, probably bigger than any Celtine had ever seen, and she’d seen a lot. She considered herself an excellent flyer, but sometimes she was too small, and the wind was just too big, and she had too far to go before she could sleep. Rumor had it that Geohelix was one of those Guardians that could sleep while flying. “All aboard?” Geohelix shouted over the sound of his might wingbeats and the continuous wind. “Strong storm heading this way, so if you’ve got much further to go this way, probably best that you hop on.” Celtine didn’t wait to be asked twice. A quick dive under the Guardian’s wings and she found a half dozen open satchels outfitted with blankets and tiny lanterns. A Fae slumbered in one of them, his wings probably too small and weak to fly straight into the storm front ahead. Celtine hooked her nails in Geohelix’s vest and crawled up closer to his head. “Hey!” Celtine called over the approaching gale. “Thanks for the ride. I probably would have had to find a place to stay, somewhere…” Celtine paused and looked at the Sea below. Would have been tough to find somewhere close, and there were creatures and Beastclans to worry about. She was small and alone and she could handle herself, but she didn’t like to if she didn’t have to. “It’s what I do,” Geohelix answered with a smile back at her. “Small dragon ferry?” Seemed like a boring job for as good a flyer as Geohelix. Geohelix didn’t seem bored, though. “Yep,” he said happily. “Figured there had to be some way to use my size and excellent flying skills.” Celtine thought about that as she crawled to one of the satchels tied around Geohelix’s neck. It would be a long flight over the Sea and through the storm, but Celtine had a feeling his wings would block her from most of the rain. |

Geohelix has always been large, even for a Guardian. He also always had a soft spot for the smaller dragon species, like his Mirror mother and siblings. Unlike his mother and siblings, however, his magic abilities begin and end with being able to stay in the air for extremely long periods of time. As his mother says, somewhat disappointedly, it’s better than nothing. Geohelix respectfully disagrees: it’s better than anything. Even though Geohelix is often gone from home, carrying small dragons and Beastclans, he always enjoys his opportunities to land once again next to a familiar nest. He loves his family, but he probably loves to travel even more. He’s just happy that he’s found a way to make a bit of treasure and travel at the same time. All the same, there is one thing that Geohelix finds most uncomfortable: the sea. He has nothing against water in general, nor Water dragons, and not even the element itself. It’s just that he doesn’t like the deep, dark, blue waves. Even though he is a Guardian, his ancestral home beneath the waves with the Tidelord, he can’t imagine submerging himself beneath them. He can’t even imagine swimming about on the surface for fun. All the same, he does enjoy a good day at the beach, as long as the breeze is up and kites are flying. Of course, he most enjoys hanging around with his small dragon and Beastclan friends. When he’s not flying, Geohelix provides any number of meals for his guests, since he also enjoys cooking. As an omnivore, Geohelix has a good understanding of how just about everything tastes. And he can make it taste pretty good, if he does say so himself. Then, a short nap, and it’s back into the clouds and on his way again. He does love staying at exotic locations and in luxurious nest-and-breakfasts when he has the opportunity to. Geohelix is, of course, a Wind dragon. He keeps a weather eye on the horizon while he scans the sky for a Windsinger sighting. With all the traveling he does, he’s sure that one day he’ll see the Big Noodle in the Sky. Until that day, and even after, he’ll continue to fly from one end of Sornieth to the other, little friends on his back. |

» Perhaps because of his mother or, more likely, his sister, Geohelix has a fondness for Mirrors. Even though he’s not as fast or agile, he certainly prefers to spend time with a pack than any number of Guardians. |
