Proudly stretching from the Behemoth's surrounding pools to the outer crests of the Sea of One Thousand Currents lies an immense, temperamental vein of water known as The Rainy River. Fat, loud raindrops frequently disturb it's surface, though when the rains weaken a thick mist hangs near the the water's glossy surface. The air along the river is cool, and beneath the surface lies shimmery scales ranging from the bale blue morning skies to the deep navys of the ocean depths. Decorating the serpent's spine are massive, translucent wings, folded swan-like and with grace, resembling glass sails on a steadily sailing ship. The ruler of the river glides with ease along the water, body bending with ease along the river's path. | He is Seacrest, son those among the first Imperials, and this river is his. While he holds loyalty to the Burmecian lands, he is truly an enigma. Often patrolling the waters alone and rarely taking proper flight, the dragons of Burmecia know little of the dragon's personality. He doesn't show distaste or hostility toward his clanmates; a curt nod acknowledges any that might come within eyesight, though little more than that. They leave him be, and he continues to surf the river's length - up and down, back and forth - from the Tidelord's domain to the Gladekeeper's realm. Some worry he's lonesome. Some speculate he hears the Tidelord's call and longs to return to his homeland. Some think he's content just as he is. Surely there's more to the steadfast imperial. As they say: still, steady waters often run deep. |
