Lineage

Biography

Working beside his mother; cool, collected, patient. Watching as she waited for the metals to cool to just the right temperature, lovingly shaping them before they hardened. Her working intently as the heat of the forge warmed Cinder's heart. It is memories such as these that Cinder cherishes most fondly, and that also helped shape him as surely as the metals in his mother's forge.

Cinder is a true child of the Flamebringer if there ever was one. He would chase forest fires, search for active lava floes, and bring back burning chunks of flaming obsidian home. With too many close calls, his adoptive family had to finally tell him that unlike his fiery home, nature dragons do not deal so kindly with accidental forest fires. And so Xendare and some of the other dragons built him a little waterhole, just for him, where he could safely dump his "findings" and light things up to his heart's content without worrying about lighting up his family's lair.

He has found that Obsidian in a trusty pool of water can be just as artistic a medium as metal on a forge. So he creates little trinkets and sculptures, except, y'know.. out of obsidian, and they go for quite a bit since it's a rare component in the Virdian Labyrinth. It also helps that he is one of the few dragons, (ESPECIALLY in the Viridan Labryinth,) that can touch lava floes without getting burnt. (Or more like, instantly killed, for other elemental dragons..)

He helps out Xendare with his jewelery making sometimes, although it isn't quite as fun as his obsidian scavenger hunts.

Being a little firebug can have its advantages. As he is an expert in chasing forest fires, he has seen all the damage they can do as well. WIth his size and unusual gifts, he has taken it upon himself to help herd any hapless dragons or animals away from the flames, and move debris/items out unharmed. In the case of a volcanic eruption, he would be able to move the lava's course too. Not that that happens quite as much in the Labyrinth, thank goodness. (Very slightly. But y'know. Like putting your finger in the middle of a small watertap stream and splitting it.)
