Garuda

Named of the protector spirit of hindu myth, Garuda.

A tinkerer from youth, Garuda was unlike other snappers of the Viridian Labyrinth. Unconcerned with the hardy showmanship of his parents, Garuda had always been more a gentle soul, more interested in the smaller world, creating contraptions to benefit the small. This was a rare and challenging hobby for such a dragon, his toes inherently unskilled for the manipulation of small parts, and his bulk a hindrance in the construction of delicate objects. Despite this, he followed his passion, and became quite masterful at it. One day, he found an insect most curious, one forged of metal and circuit, and decided to release it and follow it, lest it might lead him to more. Instead, however, it led him to the den of a red and orange guardian dragon. The dragon said that he had seen the skill of the young snapper, and offered him a place in a clan that would recognize his talent. Since then, Garuda has worked with Phoenix and his meritocratic clan of researcher-warriors, sometimes homesick but mostly content with his newfound place and respect.
