Amaretto was exiled from her exalted place in the Shadowbinder's army. Her tactic on the battlefield was too gruesome, even for the Shadowbinder herself. Amaretto would send her spirit friend, Zazabier, into the bodies of her foes and have them turn onto each other. It won battles, did it not? Amaretto sees no fault in her tactics, simply because those tactics helped turn the tides. Unfortunately, The Shadowbinder disagreed. Thus, Amaretto was cast out and eventually, she found sanctuary in Niftywing's clan of misfits.
