Biography
Brink lost his wings while still a hatching. Because of this loss, not even his family expected much from the young drake. Still, Brink was always a stubborn lad, and strove to prove everyone wrong, that he was not an object of pity. Brink worked with all his might at every task he was sent to do, and worked many hours to earn gold towards an apprenticeship. He knew he had a natural ability towards magic, and asked every mage he could find to take him under his wing. After countless rejections and scorn as of his lack of status or fitness, one elder mage recognized Brink as the same boy who worked every morning at the docks and every evening hunting for mushrooms and herbs in the surrounding forests. Such work ethic and ability to hunt for arcane ingredients appealed to the mage, and he took Brink under his wing. It seemed the old mage wanted the dragon more for chores around the homestead and ingredient fetching, and Brink's time with his mentor were days full of being yelled at, hit, and insulted. Brink never gave up, and slowly but surely he learned magecraft. His years with the old mage taught him to never voice his problems, to be patient, and to be resilient. Once Brink made his Masterwork piece, the Woodswing mantle, proving himself to be a competent mage worthy of independence, he left his teacher and never looked back.
Brinks Woodswing mantle allows him flight, but was created more to prove a point to his master that believed him an inferior cripple vs compared to other dragon apprentices. Brink doesn't much like heights, instead darting quickly and efficiently on land like the lizard other dragons are always quick to tell him he resembles.
Brink doesnt speak much and doesn't often express his emotions. He is feircly loyal, abhors bullying, and is very kind. abuse victim
