Rift

At the living quarters, you're rushed as you walk through the entrance by a dark blur.

"Hello! Who are you? Where are you from? Whatcha here for? Hi!" the shape, which you can now see is a spiral dragon scampers over to Azra, now assaulting him with questions. Most of them he seems to laugh and answer. You assume he's probably used to it. You move to go sit on a swathe of cloth laid on the floor, taking a closer look. The room is dark, lit mostly by nearby lava and flames. Red and yellow cloths are draped over the windows looking out over the Waste. You turn your attention to the new dragon. She had also draped herself with cloth, and wore a helm much like one of the cult members, although this seemed to be by choice. A sort of mysterious, pulsing glow emanates from her belly. Despite looking through and through like a spiral like any other, the dragon still seemed otherworldly in a way. Your thoughts are soon interrupted as Azra turns the dragon in your direction and begins introductions.

"This is Rift. Rift, this person is our guest tonight. I don't know if they'll be staying, but they're here now."

"Oh! Good to meet you!" Rift darts over, shaking your claws and nodding, "I love company. It gets boring around here. I couldn't count on one hand how many times Azra has had to untie me!"

She laughs, the sound ringing in your ears a bit, then stopped and moves a bit closer, "Food! What do you like? We've got a little bit of everything but more of some stuff and less of others. Nothin' special though."

The meal is simple, but enjoyable. Rift keeps the conversation going and lends a certain light to room that otherwise would have been dismal. You found yourself a bit reluctant to go when it came time to leave. But, after all, there was more to learn. Work was never over.
