As the Sage of the Flame, Hephaestus represents the interest of the Flamecaller and her followers in the clan assemblies. Hephaestus is surprisingly calm and level-headed, open (reasonably) to persuasion.

With clever claws and ever-present energy, Hephaestus sets upon himself to secure and maintain the physical aspects of the clan. Constantly repairing and upgrading both the lairs and boundaries, no task is too small or too humble for this small, industrious inventor. He is close to both Setekh and Amaterasu and often tries to temper the latter's more fiery nature.

When not working as the Representative of the Flamecaller, Hephaestus works as the clan smith. He resides near his forge a little ways to the southeast of the city center and market, where he works closely with the metalsmith, Amaterasu, as well as the clan's miners.
