When contacting the Queensclan, one of the first dragons usually spoken to is either Lerrell or his mate and co-ambassador Kath. Where she is more strategically-oriented in her diplomatic efforts, he makes an effort to be as direct and clear as possible, no matter what the situation--a boon in some situations, and a hindrance in more thorny situations that require some extra tact, leaving him negotiating the more peaceful alliances while she handles the more aggressive inter-clan relations. The directness carries over into his personal life, leading many to believe him rather domineering and even full of himself at times--but why wouldn't he be at least somewhat proud of the family and the legacy he's made for himself? Even if his daughter refuses to listen to him more often than not, a thing that still irritates him even as he's grown to appreciate her ambition instead of hate it. Though there still was the...unfortunate business with his eldest grandson that still rankles him, and he absolutely refuses to discuss even with those closest to him.

They failed. They aren't getting him back from what he's turned himself into. What else is there to know? And he doesn't need others rubbing it in his face like those godscursed Lannisters do and always have done, no matter what the folly of his or his family's they're referring to.
