Yamaneko doesn't talk to the living very much. Or, that is to say, no more than he absolutely has to. He find most living dragons and beasts to be extremely dull and frankly doesn't trust too many of them. He has a fascination with poisonous insects, those that can bring down even the largest and strongest dragon. He also has a certain fascination with death.

He claims to be able to see departed spirits, to be able to tell a dragon's "aura" just by letting his eyes go a little unfocused, and to feel what kind of "soul" a dragon has. Whether this ability is real or not it feeds into his general paranoia about the motives of those around him, and if he gets it into his head that you're "bad", well... That's that. He won't attack you, but he'll keep a good distance.

Lately he's been conversing with Flabbergast, a bright Coatl who Yamaneko insists is walking the tightrope between the living and the dead despite Flabbergast being very much alive. Probably. Most likely.
