Momerath

Most of the clan is pretty sure that Momerath isn't actually a dragon, no matter how much it might look like one. Nobody has ever heard it speak, nor does it act like it's trying to communicate. Alice seems to enjoy its company, and communicates at least well enough for it to tolerate hers, although she stubbornly insists that 'it' is in fact 'they.'

'They,' according to Alice, are a species called the mome rath which are very secretive and shy, but will sometimes take friends among dragonkind. She doesn't like to say more, claiming that "its their story to tell if any of them choose to." However, none of the clan has ever seen more than one 'mome rath' at a time, so the truth of her claims is dubious at best.

Still, Alice gets along with Momerath better than anyone else who might be counted as part of the clan, meeting frequently with it in the small clearing that she has designated "the Wabe." She treats it similarly to the way many of the clan treat their less clever familiars, further reinforcing the clan's idea that it's an unthinking, or at least unintelligent, creature. Momerath doesn't seem to mind, at very least, so the clan sits satisfied in their judgement, undisturbed by Alice's claims.

Alice seems somewhat frustrated by the whole thing, and Cheshire occasionally chimes in to back her up, but the clan mostly ignores the two, as it does on most subjects. Who can know what Momerath thinks?
