Neriya
Position: Insect gatherer/Adventurer Mate: - When When Neriya`s firstborn GoldenRise flew from the nest Neriya realised that she too yearned to see the world like he did. She felt like she lacked purpose and thus she set off to find her place in the world. The first few weeks Neryia struggled to survive as she found that it was not as easy catching insects without her former mate Hikori. Neriya had to teach herself the hard way how to survive in the wilderness. Many times she would see see packs of Miths flying around and she attempted to hunt for them but she was never able to separate any weak or young individuals so she could grab and eat them. Neriya was utterly lost and alone. Many days she would go without food as she didn't dare to eat plants she could not recognise and she couldn't catch bugs as they were often too agile for her. Oh how she wished she was still home where she had the help from other dragons, but Neriya was too prideful to go back home. One late night Neriya was particularly famished. She dreaded to go another day eating bitter roots for food so she became determined to find something better. Neriya went to a nearby meadow to hunt for some bugs and she got lucky! She saw a young, bright pink Mith all alone and vulnerable. The perfect snack! The Mith had injured its wing and was jumping around the grass like a dizzy grasshopper. Neriya approached slowly and jumped to try and grab it, but it slipped right between her claws. Again and again she pounced and clawed at it but it was no use. Neriya soon collapsed, too weak and hungry to move. When she woke again she saw the Mith preparing to pour some honey into her mouth. Neriya gladly ate the yellow liquid and weakly nodded at the Mith as thanks. Neriya knew she did not have the heart to eat the Mith anymore. They say that the wilderness makes you cruel, but Neriya still had not lost her sense of righteousness. She sighed softly as the Mith cuddled up to her for warmth. Both being as weak as they were they knew their best bet was to team up to appear stronger. The Primrose Mith named Melody taught Neriya about the wilderness while Neriya became the family Melody never had as she was abandoned by her pack when she became injured and thus became a burden. The sight of Melody reminded Neryia of GoldenRise. The both had a gentle spirit and a smile that could brighten up a lair. With Melody at her side Neriya felt a little less alone. Days had passed and the duo had wandered to the realm of the Lighweaver. Neriya had started to feel more and more worried for Melody and she feared that she would not be able to provide the right home for her as she was not physically strong enough to protect her. She did not want to lose her like she had lost GoldenRise. Neriya and Melody wandered from clan to clan in search for someone to take them both in. They came to the Enchanted treasures clan were they were finally accepted. In their new home they were happy and secure. Neriya was even able to find a mate and a new father figure for Melody. Neriya became one of the clan's insect gatherers and she taught survival skills to hatchlings that would someday have to make the great journey to join Lightweaver. Melody finally got the comfortable childhood she never had. She became a big sister to the hatchlings of the clan and she often played tag with them. Neriya still often thought of her former mate and her son however she no longer felt sad. She knew that if they saw her now they would be proud of the Skydancer she had become. Neriya had found her place in the world. Ny the time Neriya had offspring she had come to terms with her role as a mom. She no longer felt guilty about her firstborn. No she knew she could not control her kids forever. She knew they all had their own adventures to star in. Shows proud of all of them. Many of them chose to join the deities and serve them and she could not be more proud. -Team mom -Holds a monthly bug catching contest for hatchlings with Melody as the judge -Still often goes for adventures but always makes sure to come back when things get too rough. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
