"It will be wonderful! You'll join the Windsinger and leave with eternal happiness, if only you say yes!"


She was very convincing at first, to the point that many of us had agreed. But we never realized... it would mean this.

When we realized she was talking about exaltion, something we all had agreed to never allow in our clan, we tried to back out. We did try. And, while some of us succeeded.. none of us were spared from some sort of trauma.

"You said yes... Therefore, your fate is sealed."

For those able to escape, they still hear the screams of the fallen, and that's all if you're lucky. For me....

For me, I suppose you could call me lucky.. I was the fourth in line to do this 'special task', so I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of what the 'task' was. I am proud of being able to say I was the one that saved the few that escaped by speaking up.. those being tricked into it, shouldn't be forced to do so. These dragons came here to not be exalted! They came for a home!!

The leaders, they subdued the priestess and the 'special tasks' have stopped... for now. However, I left after learning that they may just allow dragons who wish to join the Windsinger in such a way to do so.. They plan to allow her to continue her deluded schemes, and I will NOT stand for that.

...She orphaned hatchlings. I'm taking a young one with me, and hopefully will never have to fret over being put in such a state again.
